DON'T STOP TALKING TO ME.

Sunday, June 29, 2008

Ngunit wala akong magawa.

Hayy...

December 19

I can now feel the vacation breeze. I waked up late in the morning. I started to get bread, slice some cheese and stir a cup of coffee. What a morning!

I got to help in the household chores. I cooked fish for our lunch since my mother was injured last October 28. She felt excruciating pain when she broke her ankle. She just could not cook. She had no choice but to let me reign in our kitchen.

I started to read a book entitled “Differential Calculus” by Ymas et al. I was amazed on how simple the discussion on evaluation of limits. Compared to other books, it has a simpler explanation on the topic. I really loved this book.

December 20

Another morning has come! I started my day listening to the radio but suddenly got annoyed on the station I chose to listen since it had too many commercials. I was never satisfied because I needed music, not those ads.

I got to meet my classmates for our Physics project. We were like little kids because of the different experiments we did like optical illusions and helicopters. I really had so much fun.

I began to write my notes in some of my subjects.

December 21

My friend gave me a CD and I decided to listen to it. But my mother woke up early and said that she would watch her favorite TV show. I had no choice but to obey her.

I cooked again. I cooked chicken in liver spread sauce. My friend introduced the recipe to me and it was delicious. I did the same but unfortunately, it was salty. I thought it was because of too much salt I put in the food but it was because I placed two cans of liver spread. They had no choice anyway but to eat the food.

December 22

Things went according to my plans. I planned to play the CD, eat champorado for breakfast and check my classmates’ assignment in math. (I was assigned as the substitute math teacher).

I checked my classmates’ answer. At first, I was sure that my answer was correct. But one of my classmates answered the other way. So I checked it with my computer, entered the equation and let the system graph. The graph and my classmate’s answer were alike! I have to go over it again.

We already planned on the things we will buy for Christmas. We will cook spaghetti and barbecue. Ooohh…yum!

December 23

This was a very special day for me because I solved a problem in differential calculus for the very first time.

The solution went like this.

Find the vertex of the parabola by means of the derivative. Check by completing the square and putting the equation in standard form.

-y=x2+6x
y= -x2-6x
y’= -2x-6
-2x-6=0
x=-3
-y= (-3)2+6(-3)
-y=9-18
-y= -9
y=9
simplifying the equation, making y positive
derivative of y
equating to 0 because m=0

substitution to get y

The vertex is at (-3,9)
Check:

-y= x2+6x
-y+9= x2+6x+9
-y+9= (x+3)2

The vertex is at (-3,9)

It was really a time to celebrate for me.

This question was followed by other problems. I hoped that many problems would be solved.

I was able to check my e-mail address and I got a whooping 624 messages. The last time I checked my e-mail was a month ago. It was just offers from websites and other unsolicited messages. I deleted them and emptied my trash folder.

Wow...I am now writing on my blog!

Well, I am expect to do anything good at this subject but I do the other way around!
I hope to do something at this problem because I know that my teacher tends to be angry at me everytime I speak!

I really don't hope anything about my teacher...well nobody is perfect but she is an ideal teacher for me. She really looks for her mistakes and admits them...a thing a typical teacher will never do.

I really have many memorable moments here. I am absolutely amazed at my score everytime we check the test papers. I am a bit of eccentric when she I know what she is talking about. I never study but the way she teaches us, you will be encourage o read a math book.(my bedtime story)

Aha!
When we had our probability, I discovered a simple talent of mine, to compute mentally! When we deal with fractions, I tend to answer without sci-cal and I also discovered that I can prove a problem...unfortunately, she never asked me to recite!

Eureka!
Wow...i never did a project this nice and this tough...and I love this opportunity to enhance ones talent...with this simple things.

Discouraging Moments
I am discouraged when my teacher always blocks my way of thinking...I mean she always have "infinite answer" about a problem...nakakahiya kapag nag-question ka pa...

One time I asked a question about a test in arithmetic series...she answered sarcastically like I never knew the lesson.

If I will be the teacher...I will always see to it that all my students knows how to use the calculator because I see some of my classmates don't know how to use the fraction functin of the calculator...I they learn how to do it...It would be a great help!
